Pre-registration is now closed but please do come along
Pre-registration for this year's event is now closed as we will be setting up shop at the venue for the start and are unable to monitor online. However, you are more than welcome to come along and participate. We will take your details, issued copies of the music as required and facilitate your donation at the door. We would love to see you there.
Apply to take part

The application process this year is a little different to that employed for the previous events. Our underlying objective and the principal purpose for running this event is to raise as much money as we can for Cancer Research UK (CRUK). For 2016 & 2018, your participation contributions were channelled through the Requiem to Cancer account and then forwarded to the charity. However, this meant that CRUK could not benefit from the added contribution from Gift Aid and we would like to change that.
There are strict rules around Gift Aid and we would not wish for the charity to fall foul of these. In consultation with CRUK's Compliance Team, we have agreed with them that for this year you can apply via this website for a free place in the event and then you will be provided with a link to CRUK's website to make a personal donation that will be tagged as being associated with Requiem to Cancer 2022. We hope this is not too complicated! If you have any questions about this then please do get in touch via the Contact page.
We have places for a total of up to 200 singers and it would be great to fill St Paul's with voices from all corners of the country (and beyond) and at all hours of the day and night. As noted on the About page, you are encouraged strongly to participate for as much of (but preferably all of) the 24 hour period to ensure we maintain a good vocal presence throughout.
The principal items that will be sung are:
The application process via this website is a two-stage process. The first step is to fill in the form below and submit it. Within a few days you will get a response to your application. If you do not have an e-mail address please contact us using the Contact page.

On the form below, we will ask of you four main things:
After you have entered all the required details and pressed REGISTER, you will be directed to the RtC2020 donations page on CRUK's website. The minimum donation is £50, a figure that is broadly comparable to the previous events. Remember that personal donations made directly to CRUK by this method are eligible for 25% Gift Aid top-ups from HMRC, at no additional cost to you so long as you are a UK taxpayer. Thank you very much.
- Who you are, your contact details, your voice part.
- What your score hire requirements are. Copies of the new anthem from Janet Wheeler will be supplied on the day and are usable for this event only. You are not permitted to use them or copy them for any other purpose.
- At various times during the event, roll calls will be read out of those known to us who have either been lost to cancer or who have survived it. You are welcome to submit names to be included on those lists on the form. When supplying names please try not to be too generic as what you supply will be what is read out. So, although 'Mum' might mean something in the context of this form, it may not be so obvious when read out from a list where there is no surrounding context and there would be a lot of Mums on the list. A plain name is the preferred option.
- Your agreement about how we use your personal data collected on this page. Please see the paragraph about Data Protection & Consent below.

Another new feature this year is the option for you to set up your own fundraising page through which you can encourage your friends and family to make donations, all of which will be counted as being part of the overall Requiem to Cancer total. If you would like to do this then clicking here will open up a new, separate window in your browser containing details of CRUK's 'Super Team' option. You can then return later to this new window to explore this option. However, please do ensure you complete the Application Form below and make your own personal donation first so that you have been registered properly.
